Dr. Bimal K. Bose (Life Fellow, IEEE) is an Emeritus Professor in Electrical Engineering in the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA. He was Endowed Chair Professor (Condra Chair of Excellence in Power Electronics) at the University of Tennessee from 1987 until 2003.He was also the Distinguished Scientist (1990-1992) and the Chief Scientist (1987-1989) of EPRI Power Electronics Applications Center (PEAC) in Knoxville, TN, USA. Prior to that, he was a Research Engineer in GE-CRD (now GE Global Research Center), Schenectady, NY, USA for 11 years (1976 -1987). From 1971 to 1976, he was an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA. He holds 21 U. S. Patents, and authored more than 200 papers. Dr. Bose received the IEEE Power Electronics Society Newell Award (2005), the IEEE Millennium Medal (2000), the IEEE Meritorious Achievement Award in Continuing Education (1997), the IEEE Lamme Gold Medal (1996), the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) Dr. Eugene Mittellmann Achievement Award (for lifetime achievement) (1994), the IEEE Region 3 Outstanding Engineer Award (1994), the Industry Applications Society Outstanding Achievement Award (1993), the GE Silver Patent Medal (1986), the GE Publication Award (1985), Calcutta University Mouat Gold Medal (1970), and Honorary Professorship of Shanghai University, China; University of Mining and Technology, X’an Mining Institute, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He also received the IIEST Alumni Association Lifetime Achievement Award (2018), the IIEST Distinguished Alumnus Award (2006), the D. Sc. Degree (Honoris Causa) from IIEST (2013), Distinguished Lecturership of IAS and IES, and a number of prize paper awards. He is an elected member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering.

Dr Xianfeng Fan is a professor in School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh, the Head of Institute for Materials and Processes, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Professor Fan has been working on energy storage, reaction engineering, particulate materials processing through interdisciplinary approaches, photocatalysis for environmental remediation, CO2 capture using solid adsorbents and solvents, multiphase flow in porous materials, pore wetting. He is the Editor-in Chief for Clean Energy Science and Technoligy, and for Journal of Modern Green Energy, and an Editor of Journal of Environmental Management and a member of Scientific Council of the UK Carbon Capture and Storage Research Centre. Professor Fan received the British Foundrymen Award from the Institute of British Foundrymen in 2009, and 3 awards from Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, and China Nonferrous Metals Industry Corporation. Professor Fan has received about £7.5 million research grants from British Research Councils, EU and industries, has collaborations with researcher/professors from 11 countries. He has been invited to give a number of plenary lectures, keynote lectures, invited talks at international conferences, proceedings, seminars, and to chair many sessions in international conferences.

Professor Om P. Malik has done pioneering work in the development of controllers for application in electric power systems and wind power generation over the past over 59 years. After extensive testing, the adaptive controllers developed by his group are now employed on large generating units. His other interests include digital protection, control of renewable power generation and micro-grids, and AI applications in power system control. He has published over 800 papers including over 430 papers in international Journals and is the coauthor of four books: (1) Electric Distribution Systems, (2) Power System Stability, (3) Power Grids with Renewable Energy, (4) Power System Stability and Control. Professor Malik graduated in 1952 from Delhi Polytechnic. After working for nine years in electric utilities in India, he obtained a master’s degree from Roorkee University in 1962, a Ph.D. from London University and a DIC from the Imperial College, London in 1965. He was teaching and doing research in Canada from 1966 to 1997 and continues to do research as Professor Emeritus at the University of Calgary. Well over 100, including 56 Ph.D., students have graduated under his supervision. Professor Malik is a Life Fellow of IEEE, and a Fellow of IET, the Engineering Institute of Canada, Canadian Academy of Engineering, Engineers Canada and World Innovation Foundation. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the Provinces of Alberta and Ontario, Canada, and has received many awards. He was Director, IEEE Region 7 and President, IEEE Canada during 2010-11 and President, Engineering Institute of Canada, 2014-2016.

Monica Aguado Alonso Doctorate in Industrial Engineering from the Public University of Navarra. With more than 27 years of experience, she has developed her career in both the private and public sectors. Her expertise is focused on all aspects related to the grid integration of renewable energies. She is a Full Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Public University of Navarra and since 2003 she has been the Director of the Department of Grid Integration, Storage and Hydrogen at CENER. Author of numerous scientific publications, she has participated in many national and international expert committees and conferences, as well as in numerous national and European R&D projects. She is an evaluator for the European Commission. In addition, she combines her professional activity with her participation in STEM career outreach work as a mentor in different programs.

Prof. Tokeer Ahmad is graduated from IIT Roorkee and Ph.D. from IIT Delhi. Presently, he is full Professor at Department of Chemistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi since 2019. Prof. Ahmad has supervised 16 PhD’s, 86 postgraduates, 10 projects, published 227 research papers, one patent and three books with research citation of 9900, h-index of 59 and i10-index of 184. Prof. Ahmad is active reviewer of 205 journals, delivered 215 Invited talks, evaluated 70 external doctoral theses and presented 139 conference papers. Prof. Ahmad is the recipient of CRSI Bronze Medal, MRSI Medal, SMC Bronze Medal, ISCAS Medal, Inspired Teacher’s President of India Award, DST-DFG award, IIT Delhi Alumni Faculty Award, Distinguished Scientist Award, Dr. S. S. Deshpande National Award, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Excellence Award of Education, Teacher’s Excellence Award, Elected Member of National Academy of Sciences India and Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), UK. Amela Ajanovic is Associated Professor in Energy Economics at Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien).
